2023 Vintage

Harvest Notes
Harvest Date: September 28-October 2, 2023
The 2023 vintage will be remembered for its ease. Ample winter rainfall recharged the soils and set a calm, steady tone for the growing season—we even saw snow on the mountains as late as February 24. It was one of those years when everything arrived on cue: heat when the vines needed it, temperatures that stayed in the sweet spot, and enough groundwater to keep stress low. The vines were content. That kind of consistency yields a beautiful, “low-and-slow” vintage—grapes that ripen evenly and retain freshness. Harvest began on the west side of the vineyard on September 28 and wrapped up on October 2.

Ratings and Reviews
“The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon marries finesse and power. Dark-toned fruit, lavender, graphite, pencil shavings, espresso, chocolate and dried herbs are beautifully amplified in the glass. The 2023 offers tons of depth and energy. Beams of persistent tannin are impeccably woven into the wine’s fabric. Impressive.” (Nov. 2025)
